u know they make the durock board 5 ft because the tub is 5 ft u should put them horizontally the length of the tub and on the shower body side put them vertically
I hope you don't do remodeling for a living
I respect your work ethic and motivation. I am not a rookie at this type off work. Furthermore, I have repaired work done by Jack Legs like the people that have negatively criticized your job. It is obvious within their posts that they are clueless. When a person tears someone down without offering helpful advice that is an indicator of a high level of stupidity. Thanks for sharing your project. Ignore the idiots!
Thanks for sharing. My bathroom literally looks like this. Good stuff 👍🏼
For under 100 I think its worth it
Removing tile without gloves? Good luck!
Just learned that from another DIY, get gloves. Love to beable to pull whole panel out, not happening yet.
GREAT video. I appreciate your 'everyman' point of view. Very helpful!
If you would have said "my hands are soft that's why they bleed" I would have totally subscribed. 💗💗💕💕💜💜
I would just take the tile only off and patch and prep not the entire wall.
That tile was still in good condition
Appreciate the effort but you are a total hack. You could have used a saw with a masonry blade to cut the tile wall into sections, you can cut cement board by scoring it (use a straight edge) and snapping it, you should wear a mask, you didn't add a vapor barrier, etc., etc.
Did you have to turn off the main water??
Dude. I wanted to tell you THANK you for doing this series. I'm getting ready to tackle a very similar project, and I couldnt find anything as detailed as your vids. Just thank you man.
u save 2k to 3k not 30k lol .
For the hardie backer, score it and pop it with a strait edge
You bore me
Safety first, gloves, glasses, mask. You have no idea where the tiles were made and what they contain.
how old is the house when was it built?
crowbar is your best friend
I been wanting to do that to to my shit brown tiles since 1994:) Pink, blue, green, yellow, any color would have been better, the builder probably saved money on a color that wasn't selling.
amueter. I see all the harbor freight shit tools in the background.
What video tool do you use to do that speedup effect?
Ah, 3:35, relief sets in. I'm watching you demo without gloves and I just started counting down until you cut your hand. Thanks for sharing your work. I think it shows someone who might be timid about a project like this that they can do it.
this guy has no clue what he is doing!
You can appreciate a guy like this. Thumbs UP
Wears your dust mask man silicosis ain't no joke. Also a impact wrench is strong and lighter then a hammer drill
Well done work and sexy dude!
I just used a circular saw to cut the hardiebacker. Messy but that was the only way for me. 12MM hardie does not snap like 6mm
I am happy you were so candid, we all make mistakes. 🙂
I think your video was more informational
